Music in the Community led by Poppy McGhee Thursday 12 June
Poppy is studying at the Royal Academy of Music. Alongside her busy schedule of performing she works with the Amber Trust and is an ambassador for the Benedetti Foundation. Click links for more information and booking
12.10pm Music in The Moment
A relaxed informal lunchtime concert welcoming to all, with string quartet from the Royal Academy of Music. Includes movements from Beethoven’s Quartet and Danish Folk Song arrangements.
4.15pm Animal Adventures: Children’s Cushion Concert
The story of Ferdinand the Bull and other animals with string quartet, piano and narrator for children 0-8. Narrated by Fr Kevin Morris, vicar of St Michael & All Angels Church
5.30pm Share the Stage
A come and play session. A relaxed opportunity to perform in front of family and friends with positive feedback.
School Outreach
Throughout the week the Festival is running a programme of activities in local schools with violinist Poppy McGhee. They include workshops with violin and percussionist Sana Abu-Jabir in St Peters School, musical story making with String Quartet in Southfields Primary School and a Saxophone workshop at Chiswick School with Rob Burton.
