A Shepherd’s Song: Baritone Allyn and theorbo/ guitar player Louis explore the expressive world of the Baroque lute song, alongside selected works from later repertoire. Music of longing, rapture and the quiet despair of unrequited love. In the end, acceptance brings not only sorrow, but growth - and the first fragile steps towards moving on.

Widening access to great live music in Chiswick
We are delighted that much of the first week of the Festival will again be devoted to ‘widening access to great live music’, supported, for the third year, by pladis (UK&I) of Chiswick Park. With their support we are delighted to offer free access to young people for outstanding concerts, children's events, an inclusive free coffee concert, and outreach in Southfields Primary and Chiswick Schools.
Three early evening concerts feature some of the UK’s most exciting young musicians. Braimah Kanneh-Mason and Jams Colman; Allyn Wu and Louis Moisan; and Ensemble Renard wind quintet. Each last 70 minutes without interval. Enjoy a pre-concert glass of wine alongside informal performances from rising stars of the Royal Academy of Music Juniors and an opportunity to browse the festival art exhibition.
THREE FOR TWO OFFER individual tickets £20, or all 3 for £40
FREE for under 18s and £5 for under 25s
